Book Donations

Book Donation Policy

We accept book donations exclusively from our curated wish list.

Why?

  1. Health & Safety: Due to past outbreaks and pandemics like COVID-19, we prioritize the well-being of our recipients by avoiding the circulation of unsanitized or unsterilized materials.
  2. Quality & Dignity: While we are a charitable organization, we do not operate with a “charity mentality.” We believe the children we serve deserve new-high-quality, first-rate books that reflect their worth.
  3. Program Alignment: Our book donations support our Summer Reading Rewards Program, which distributes between 1,000–3,000 books annually, depending on enrollment.

Each year, in preparation for our Annual Book Day in November, our program director curates a book list aligned with the American Library Association (ALA) summer theme. This list serves as the foundation of our book campaign for the following year.

You can find our official book list on our website under the “Booklist” tab. Donations can be made through our PayPal portal or by purchasing books from your preferred retailer and having them shipped to Barnes & Noble, Potomac Yard, Alexandria, VA.

We appreciate your understanding and ongoing support in helping us provide children with the best literary resources possible.

DONATE

Every July, in celebration of our foundation's establishment as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we launch our annual summer reading campaign. We are excited to announce the commencement of our efforts for the Summer 2025 book drive.

Your generous contribution by clicking the "Donate to Our Cause" button would be deeply appreciated. Kindly share this initiative with your network and family to support our mission to eradicate childhood illiteracy.

Thank you for your support!
